TRICAFE
Team LMS achieved a remarkable third position in the Low Cost Cafe design competition, a collaborative effort organized by the Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA) and the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
The Tri-Café derives its name from its central location at the intersection of the three main buildings of the NAST complex, serving as a focal point for these entities. Its orientation ensures it is inviting and approachable from all directions. The café features three primary structural columns that create an open, pavilion-like structure, forming a unifying geometry that complements the surrounding architecture.
The overall design exudes a minimal yet distinctive material palette, reflecting the use of bricks, concrete, and textures of the surrounding structures. With its innovative and inviting design, the café aims to be a symbolic representation of the space it inhabits.
